News : STUDY PROMOTES AFRICAN ACCESS TO MARKETS

Climate Focus promotes African access to carbon markets by actively participating in the World Bank sponsored African Electrification Initiative (AEI).  Climate Focus has been invited to map carbon finance opportunities for the initiative.

The AEI intends to increase the level of household electrification in Africa by creating a body of practical knowledge and a network of practitioners in the area of design and implementation of rural, peri-urban and urban on-grid and off-grid electrification programs in Africa.  Climate Focus has been chosen to appraise the AEI of opportunities to foster carbon projects in the energy sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. Within the AEI Climate Focus will also interact with African electrification practitioners on the topic and advise them on the best strategies to operationalize their carbon projects. 

Our participation in the AEI confirms Climate Focus as one of the main carbon service providers in Africa and our commitment with the African continent.
