Finding great investments in the carbon markets is a challenge. Our work for the Climate Cent Foundation secured profitable project investments around the world in the energy, transport, and agriculture sectors.

The Switzerland-based Climate Cent Foundation needed a world-class portfolio of projects to reduce 12 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions between 2008 and 2012. It hired Climate Focus to identify and manage a portfolio of Clean Development Mechanism and Joint-Implementation projects, in partnership with South Pole Carbon Asset Management Ltd., to achieve this goal.  

Climate Focus drew on its global experience to identify, screen and contract projects worldwide from bioenergy plants in China to microhydro generation in Peru. The projects offer exceptional sustainable development benefits and each one generates more than 20,000 tons of emission reductions annually. By offering rigorous project evaluation and expert legal advice, Climate Focus has ensured the Foundation’s projects investments deliver the expected emission reductions credits from projects across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
