Climate Focus is evaluating the feasibility for electricity interconnection projects in Latin America to participate in the carbon markets. The study is sponsored by the Inter American Development Bank. Linking the power grids of Latin America could bring clean energy from renewable sources to places that rely on fossil fuel. Carbon finance may enhance the feasibility of linking the grids. Climate Focus will present the findings of this analysis to stakeholders in a workshop in Bogotá, Colombia in September.
