Focus Areas : International and National Climate Policy

Climate change is one of the defining environmental challenges of our time. How the world responds to climate change will be decided through international and domestic negotiations. Governments are trying to craft policies ensuring an effective, efficient response to the challenge by reducing emissions and adapting to its impacts under national and international law.

Climate Focus has significant experience assessing key aspects of international and national climate law and policy for international agencies, private sector, governmental and non-governmental institutions. Climate Focus has an international team of lawyers, economists and policy analysts who can assess how these global challenges will affect specific governments, policies and organizations. This includes advice on a range of policy issues such as institutional requirements, international governance, financing mechanisms for mitigation and adaptation, and integration of market mechanisms.
