Simon Siantidis is a trainee at Climate Focus. His current research focuses on smallholders, land use and deforestation. He has experience in global value chain analyses with focus on sustainability upgrading mechanisms for smallholders.
Simon holds a M.Sc degree in Agricultural Development from the University of Copenhagen and a B.Sc in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Bonn in Germany. For his master thesis he conducted fieldwork in Indonesia to examine the income effect for smallholders of a private “direct trade” project in the global coconut oil supply chain.
In his free time, Simon plays the guitar, collects vinyl records and enjoys bouldering.
